Inside my world, a solo plays loudly.
The notes sound off-key, yet they ring proudly.
A soulful melody mimics the blues.
Offbeat, I resist taking entrance cues.
I attempted a duet—failed to blend.
Without harmony, our song had to end.
My intense backbeat drowned out his weak lead.
Each other’s energy—we strained to feed.
