You may think that you are sliding
Headlong down a slippery slope,
But even when you fall hopeless,
Your living serves as someone’s hope.
You beam the sole light they behold,
For your hand, in darkness, they grope.
Before you relinquish your grip,
Think of who else clutches your rope.
When strife tempts you to cease shining,
Ask God for His wisdom to cope.
If negative self-talk takes charge,
Daring you to quit, reply, “Nope!”
